‘Lord Fungus’ – 2025

The Story:
Nobody quite remembers when Lord Fungus arrived. He simply appeared one misty morning, standing politely near a log, wearing a toadstool cap that glistens after rain and a ruff of golden chanterelles curling proudly around his neck. He arrived with a lean, ever so slightly to the left. Not from age, but from deep contemplation (or so he claims). Some say the lean began when he stopped to listen to a crying fern... and simply never stood up straight again. A noble wanderer of the woods, he’s often found offering unsolicited wisdom to moss or conducting symphonies with the wind. Don’t ask him for directions though, he’s never in a hurry, and half the time he forgets where he was going anyway.
